Clean Modular Operating Room

The clean operating room is a space for performing surgeries and emergency treatments, and is also a core medical unit within a hospital. It employs air cleanliness measures, utilizing air purification technology to reduce the microbial particles and particulate matter in the air to permissible levels, ensuring the safety of patients undergoing surgery.

Scope of Use: organ transplant surgeries, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, joint replacement surgery, ophthalmology, sterile surgery, thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, general surgery, urology, orthopedics, plastic surgery.

The clean operating room consists of a clean operating area, clean auxiliary rooms, and non-clean auxiliary rooms, forming a self-contained functional zone. The clean operating room applies air purification technology and achieves particle contamination control through the establishment of a scientific workflow for personnel and materials, along with strict zoning management, ultimately ensuring the safety of the patients. According to the type of surgery, clean operating rooms can be classified into different categories:

· Cardiac operating room, mainly used for heart surgeries, where maintaining the cleanliness and humidity of the surgical area is essential for smooth operations;

· Neurosurgery operating room, mainly used for brain surgeries, requiring extremely high cleanliness standards, and can use a Class 1 clean operating room;

· Minimally invasive operating room, mainly used for endoscopic or minimally invasive surgeries, with less stringent cleanliness requirements, and can use a Class 3 clean operating room.

The airflow in a clean operating room can be vertical unidirectional flow, low turbulence replacement airflow, or mixed air supply, which continually dilutes the air to achieve purification. When constructing a clean operating room, it is necessary to strictly distinguish between clean and non-clean areas, arranging the operating rooms and auxiliary spaces reasonably, ensuring clear and smooth personnel and material flow, and avoiding cross-contamination.
